I ordered from them and it took me less than a week to get it.  And I live in Downey, which is pretty close to you.  As for the tracking number, it's not accurate or current so don't worry to much about it.

Just to let you know, I ordered my chip on a Monday and it arrived on either a Thursday or Friday.  Now that is fast.

I think that was due to a chip shortage awhile ago.  Now, they're up to speed and they're cool.

I know they kinda sucked before, and were unresponsive, but now, I think they've changed and are better.

Atleast, I hope so.

Yeah..., I read about the horror stories on other threads and seems to me they are cool now.  This will be my first mod on a system and I just got my Xbox 2 weeks ago too!! I guess it's gonna arrive anytime now.  I can't wait to mod my Xbox and join the community!!

uhh... 2 weeks ago eh?? u should check to make SURE its not a 1.6 ver xbox as to u wont need the solderless adaptor. ur gonna have to solder if u want a good modded 1.6 xbox

Two days after I ordered it.  I paid a little extra for the shipping, though.  1.6 and worked great.  Even the soldering wasn't too bad.

I forgot to state that the Xbox I bought was refurbished.  Purposely bought so that I can do the solderless mod.  I was hoping that they could come up with a new solderless mod for the newer Xboxes but from what I gathered that seems slim.  Btw still waiting for the chip to arrive.

Even though your box is refurbished, it does not mean you DON'T have a 1.6. Refurbished means that something happened to the box to make it need service, so it could be a hard drive, or it could have gotten a new MOBO, which means it is possible that it got a 1.6. you need to crack it open to be sure.

Thanks for letting me know guys..., but it's too late for me now since it has been two weeks from the day I bought it and that's how long EB allowed me to return it.  Hopefully I do get a < 1.6, I'm crossing my fingers.  I bought the torx screwdrivers a week ago but didn't want to open it up since I don't have the chip yet.  I'm still waiting for the chip to arrive, and it sucks now cause school starts tomorrow for me and I'll have no time!!!  Oh well, that'll be something to do for the Xmas vacation.

I ordered from them on a Thursday and got my chip the next Tuesday.  While I think it's kind of lame how they ship, in a folder instead of like a little box or something, it seemed pretty fast.  No point in checking the tracking number at Canadapost.ca, because it's always the same message about departed from country, left canada, and that's it.

Many issues on delays on shipping with peopls left waiting months = to the pre-ordered chip prior to release.

As if you paid cheapest shipping rate, it can take 2 to 2 1/2 weeks depedning on your locations.

Also, if you paid by money order it takes time for your MO to arrive there and then they ship out so it can take extra week.
