You can use desolder wick to remove solder and bridges, or you can use a desolder bulb.

You can try wiring a wire to alternative D0 on the boxes as well under teh motherboard ( do a search for alternative D0 )

Desoldering wick is like $5.00 tops.

Also, dont blame EZB2k for your botched mod install, they're a great company.

Soldering can be tricky. If you have never done it then I don't recomend you attempt it on a Xbox first. Practice on some old scrap electronics board first or give it to somebody else that can solder.

If you can program your chip via the X-control software it means that your chip is fine. If you are getting fragging it means that the D0 wire is good (making contact) but either the adapter is not making good contact with the Xbox motherboard or the adapter is not making good contact with the X-Chip.

Soldering the 1.6 can be very tricky. I recommend using the alt Lframe/D0 point on the bottom of the board instead of the top via point. Also I recommend using 26/28 gauge wire for the 5 volt point instead of 30 gauge. If you can't solder don't try it you will most likey mess it up. Give it to someboday who can solder or get a older Xbox and use the solder-less adapter.

Remember as soon as you break the seal on your Xbox you VOID the manufacture warentee. If you mess up the install it's YOUR responsibility not the vender/manufacture of the mod chip where you bought it from.

As for RMA shipping time this is normal. When a RMA is requested we ask that the defective product be shipped to us first before we ship you a replacement. This is standard practice and is the store policy.

There is normal shipping delay when sending product through the mail. 3 to 5 business days is the norm for shipping times.

If it was a shipping error on our part then contact customer service and they will correct it.

If you purchased only the X-chip it does not ship with the solder-less adapter. It only ships with a pin header.

I thought pin header came no matter what if solderless ordered or not??????????????

Also,  I can understand your greif and pain, but if you put your negative vibes into good vibes, i'm sure you can do it.

If this is your 1st soldering job,   I wousl advise practice on something else 1st, old broken computer, vcr, etc so you won't feel the pain if damaged.

As for solderless adapter all on market have issues and eb2k's is by far the best and sell alot more so always looks like there's is the worst but in reality its proven best as sales versus complaints.   I suggest reading xecuters solderless guide and xeniums solderless guides, as you can see a few simple mistakes and they don't work, alignment is key and flush to motherbaord.

P.S. RED LED just means 5V and GRD thats it!!!!! So if those 2 only making contact will look as if working , but not!!!! Unless using on pc side, turns off during programming!

When we ship the combo the pin header is included. When we ship just the X-chip it only ships with a pin header no rivets or screw.

Goood point about the red led. Just because you get a read led it does not mean that ALL contacts are working. It simply means that power is going to the chip which means that 5 volt power and ground are making contact. If you box frags make sure you have flashed with proper bios for your Xbox and make sure that ALL pins/points are making contact.

Pin header can be bought at a radio shack or any electronic stores you just need a 6 by 2 pin header, they may have bigger, just cut it down to size, cost is under 50 cents.

Why should you pay shipping since there shipping mistake....just tell them to sent you one as you paid for it.

Reason for 5 to 10 business days is because when we ship pin headers or rivets we ship by normal mail with no track info. It usally takes about 5 business days to arrive.

What's your order number I can take a look into it.

Sorry your part was missing during first shipment however as for missing parts that are small we only ship it via normal mail.
