Trainers : Wow!
« on: August 21, 2004, 04:27:00 PM »

It's been a while since I installed my 1st X-Chip.

Liking the product so much I decided to explore its capabilities and features and post some feedbackl on it.

Although there is no real documentation on the hacked bios available for the X-Chip I always wondered what the Trainers option was, after some research and trial and error I finally figured it out.

1st off you need a trainer for a game you have ( http://evox.xboxhackz.net/forums/ )
2ndly a X-Chip with Evox 1.0 on it.
3rdly a version Evolution X dashboard ( 1.8.3752 or higher, not tested on below so may work with older versions )
4th a way to get files to and from your xbox ( FTP, media )

With all the above installed and working, you need to do a few simple steps to allow your Trainers/cheat files:

1) Copy the Trainers to a folder called c:\trainers on your C drive of X-Box ( these are small files, don't waste media just FTP them in.
2) Start X-Box and press Satrt to enter Evox menu, and select Trainers.
3) Select the trainer you want and you will be prompted with choices to enable the Trainer ( set Yes by pressing A) and set yes for all teh chaets you wish to enable.  I have not figured out DebugTSR but assume its for cheat makers.
4) Select Save and Exit
5) Press B when back at teh Trainesr selection screen
6) Select exit
7) Start your game you loaded tainesr/cheats for

Now this is awesome!  No need for memory card saves or action replay.

Do disable traners/cheats just select disable for enable in the trainers menu.

Love Always,

Christine Young

Nope all I know the Evox people don't like releasing known buggy software. Better to wait and have it work right then have 5 updates released to fix past issues. However I beleive more features and improvements will be made with future releases.

tongue.gif  But then again easier to have ftp on dashboard setup then use boot disc all teh time to load trainers.

So X-Chip has a Trainers capability with no dashboards needed tongue.gif

Running trainers off Modchip improves overhead in games, and is alot easier to setup and run.
