It's fine. You have a version 1.0
Just install the solder-less adapter WITHOUT the rivets. The rivets are not needed with your model.

very simple, be sure to clean the LPC holes then install Solderless Adapter without the rivets flush with the MB(very important) then tighten it down...Get your bios on the chip, Bamm your done...

I got the same problem and did read up on them so desoldered and used rivets works fine as well

But if not, then the problem appears to be the connection between the lpc points and my adpter...
any ideas?
ps. when powering up the xbox, i didnt see the little red light - but when i connect the USB cable, the red light shows for a short time. Also, the 2 lpc holes i messed with were the 2 on the far right.

). now its ignoring the chip again. booting the m$ dash everytime, tryed reposisitioning adapter several times, all with the same result. Its starting to annoy me,
any help?

If it's fragging it's not a D0 issue it's a contact issue with one of the pins on the adapter not making good contact on the LPC port. Or it could be a contact issue with the adapter and the X-chip female header.
Make sure the adapter is making good contact and is flush with the Xbox motherboard and all the pogo pins are springing back to their location. (none are stuck in the adapter)
