well your post i vague but i'll give it a shot in the dark.

Did the chip's LED light up when you installed it?
Did you clean the rivet points?
Did you write the correct BIOS to the card?

Hopefully one of those helps you.

Ooops...I guess I was a little vague.

- The Red LED, the chip, lights up when the LEDs on the front of the Xbox comes on.
- Yup
- I've written the Evox X-Chip BIOS that I got from mIRC.

I have the same problem.  I can usually reboot my Xbox several times and it will come up finally, but this problem is really weird.  It also seems to happen when I completely unplug the Xbox from power also.  I know my D0 pin isn't connecting really well and I'm probably gonna look at cleaning it and soldering it at some point.  Also, the X-Chip BIOS doesn't work on mine either.  I've followed all the instructions and when I try to boot with the X-Chip BIOS, I get a yellow light and a black screen.  I finally loaded the latest M8 BIOS on it and got it to work.  Haven't had much time to play with these issue as since I got it working I left everything alone and have just been enjoying things for now.

I got mine working last night - it was the pins on the Solderless Adapter that connect to the Mod Chip.  All I did was press the pins out, so that the chip wouldn't wabble anymore and now it works fine.  You might wanna give that a try.

It seems like there might be something wrong with the Solder-less adapter.  I've tried spreading the pins out and that seems to make the connection a little tighter, but it still doesn't work sometimes.  If I hold the chip down and power on, the system boots to the Cromwell screen.  The system keeps booting fine, until I decide to put the thing back together.  What can I do to stop this from happening?  I thought this was going to be so easy sad.gif
