huh.gif How do you turn off the chip? cause on the screenshots i dont see the option "Original Bios" or a switch on the chip.  wink.gif

That's correct, but to modify what Young said:

After hitting the eject button (to power up the Xbox), the eject button LED will begin to blink, but the Xbox will not boot up.  Wait a couple seconds, then hit eject again and the Xbox will boot up with the original xbox onboard bios (or whatever bios you set the chip to boot on eject).

The chip is very cool BTW smile.gif .

weird...

I just noticed something.

If you boot up the xbox using eject 2 or more times in a row, the second time you'll only need to hit eject once.  But if you power it up with the eject button for the 1st time or after you had powered it up with the power button; then you'll have to do what I said above.

Since this wasn't mentioned in the manual, I'd like to know if anyone elses chip acts like how I described.

If my box is OFF and using original harrdrive, I just hit the Eject Button and my box powers up to normally with MSBIOS.

If my box is OFF and using added harrdrive, I just hit the Eject Button and my box powers up to normally with MSBIOS and then dreaded system error screen ( duh using msbios and modded HD ).

In essence you will press Eject twice as 1 you want to power up using MSBIOS, and the 2nd time you want to eject tray and insert CD.


NOTE:  VERY IMPORTANT! If you change BOOT bank in X-Control Software you will boot up in that bank for pressing eject button.

I don't get your logic.  

I change my boot banks every now and then, but since I have my MS bios set to boot on eject, that's what it does.

You can assign whatever bios you want to boot on the X-Chip and you can assign whatever bios you would like to boot on eject.

Also you can lock your HD to prevent error messages when using the MS bios.
