I haven't ever heard of anyone getting 'scammed' by eb2k (scammed = they took your $$ but never gave you a product).  Sure, they take a while to ship, I have tried to get a chip from the before.  But they answered their emails promptly, and when I asked for a refund, they gave it to me immediatly.  I think they got their bad rep with the whole matrix thing, when there were 10,000 people who wanted the chip, and they only got 1,000 a week (my made up #'s)

I'm pretty sure this is exactly what happened...

It had to have been a nightmare for there ordering and shipping department, because within one or two months there, everybody suddenly "got it", "Wow I can mod my Xbox and do what?; Oh and its easy too with this Matrix thingy? Then suddenly EB2K was swamped with orders they could not fulfill and everyone assumed it to be there fault because of all the shipping delays... Which in essence you could say, that a buisness that is online has to be ready for such mass orders since, they are offering there services to a very large crowd, but there was no way with the amounts the chip maker could produce that they could have fulfilled all those orders in a short period of time... I have had my share of problems with almost every single seller that has sponsored X-S, it just happens, but I have always received my product in the end, which if not functional, was replaced with a new one...

And more then likely it a gen 3 chip with the extra's added not a gen 4

But, that can be read several different ways actually....

As for my comments, I was just trying to stop the finger pointing when it comes to EB2K, I do not personally use them anymore, but as I said, I have had problems with almost all dealers not just them...

It was ment that their shipping times are long that is, and I need my order like ummmm friday and not 3 fridays from now

Since my original reviews.. I've had 4 shipments of ships, with all working as advertised.  1.0 - 1.3 boards. (I don't have 1.4/1.5)

Solderless working extremely well for those that wanted it that way.. while the others.. in Pinheader installs.. are doing equally as well.  

Haven't personally found a real use yet for the 3.5 mb of usable stoarge for bios.. except for an insane variety of color mods  etc.  Nice gimmick that help to sell the premods.. so what do I care.
