My Refuse To Boot...
« on: July 04, 2005, 02:05:00 PM »

Hello all,

since one week I'm seaching a solution for my xbox.

It refuse to boot.

It's a v1.3 with Xbit 1.5 modchip.

I flashed my modchip with a lot off bioses (M8plus, M8plusF, X24977, X25035,...)
and I have every time the same error (green/green/green/red... with the modchip start and green/red... with the the modchip off and in the both cases my screen is black)

It's impossible for my xbox to boot on a CD or on the HD !

Please help me, THX.

I am having a the exact same problem. I have a 1.3 also, and xbit 1.5. I need a solution, I am looking around for a solution too, I'll post if I find something.
ThanX
Note, The HDD is unlocked.

If you already flashed a bios on there it might be that your not making good contact with the D0 point, if you haven't flashed a bios then thats the reason.  I would go with the X2 4983 Bios, it works for everyone with the 1.5 chip.

Did you remember to set the dip switches to the right bank?

Lol, I know it probably sounded stupid, but people have done it before. My guess is probably that the chip is not alaigned properly, and likely does not have a good d0 connection.

Also, I know that this is probably unlikely, but do you have stealth mode turned on? Frequently people report that their 'stealth mode' does not work and causes a frag.

The last switch on the set is the stealth mode one.

Alrite - sorry, just most people install the xbit using the pogo pins which is what normally causes problems.

Try flashing the xbit using a different PC - does the bios verify after flashing?

Whatabout when the modchip is removed? does the xbox frag then or does it work as though stock?
