Going Mad Over D0
« on: December 04, 2004, 03:12:00 PM »

Although not with an X. B.I.T. but i do own one i at first soldered to the top side of the board but I broke it off by accident so I had to use the backside D0 point. It was much easier to solder to. Just remove one of the filled in LPC points and put a wire through it it makes a much shorter wire. Make sure tho you leave enough room to pull off the chip and move it. Then I would just solder the other side of the wire to one of the tops of the D0 pogo pins on the Xbit.

Edit: if you touch it and its fraging that means its probably trying to load a non existant bios off the xbit. Reflash it and make sure you have the correct dip switches set. If you do all that and it still fragging check your other solder points.

smile.gif  thx dude, you're the man.

I'll try that alternative.
Even though I did solder it on that point but it was like the thing would not power up.
and I read that the xbit some time had problems to bring the D0 down.

it seems I should also solder a cable from D0 to ground....
the board is going to end up like a scratch ground.... smile.gif

any way.
thx.
brief later
