Thinking Of Upgrading Bios
« on: October 10, 2004, 09:48:00 AM »

Ok...My xbit has been working for a minute now...sometimes my xbox shuts off and then when I retry to turn it on...it won't start up.  I then reconnect everything and it comes back up.  I keep my xbox open b/c I have to do this every so often especially if I switch to my xbox live enabled xbox.

When I look at my bios through evox, it says
BIOS Version Evox M7ej
Kernel Vesion 1.00.5101.01

I do remember using the "flash" software through evox, so maybe I have that one now.

So, I'm thinking of upgrading the bios, which I hope is a good thing.  I'm using the older xbit I'm sure since I had it for like 8 -9 months now.

With an upgraded bios, could I have a different color light show on my eject button?

Also, can anyone suggest a better bios before I download any along with the version please.  Also, do you think that'll help my shutoffs if I upgrade my bios?

Thanks!!

Ok, I upgraded to Evox M8 bios and it's working well.  Are all bioses supported?  Could I use the Xecuter Cromwell BIOS?  I would assume yes.

What happens if I flash bios 6 with different bioses in different slots?
