160 Gig Hard Drive. Gone For A While
« on: October 07, 2003, 11:42:00 AM »

I am modding another xbox and purchased a 160 gig hard drive. I know that not to long ago they came out with a new release that allows up to how big of a hdd? Is this based on the bios on the chip or what? I haven't been around for a while and am a little rusty. If it is a bios can you please tell me what version it is or if it has nothign to do with the bios.

there is a patch you can add to current bioses (xecuter 2 is most popular) to be able to utilize the full size of your hd.  Just do a search for LBA48 .

You need XBTool and a valid BIOS file. just open the file with XBtoll and check the box that says LBA48. Check for tuts because you may corrupt your data on F: if you do it wrong.
