Well If you Broke Off the Write Protected Seal as the Instruction Said and when you try and Connect, it says unable to Connect because it's Write Protected, Maybe it's a faultly chip

It's too Bad X-bit has no support:( (that I know of), Maybe contact the Dealer you got it from
and explain your Situation

wink.gif Thanks for the reply.  I feel that the chip is bad also.  The company I purchased the chip from, has their support team off until after the holidays.  They recommended this forum until then.

Could be a chipset issues.  Lots of problems with NEC, Packard Bell, and NForce motherboards.  Try flashing with a computer that has a VIA chipset or get a VIA PCI USB card.
