I'm sorry but for this and most mod chips you will still have to open your XBox to install.

I relise that the actual machine has to be opened (have opened one before) i used to run a PC clinic most components are similar other than the xeption they are soldered in instead of slotted in but what i was actually wondering is what would i have to solder for the version 1.5 mod apparently it's just one wire but i need a few more details like where is the wire soldered on the MB ? and how difficult the job is...hope somebody can help as i guess the 1.5 does still need soldering as it very breifly describes on DMS' website...everyone who wants to install the X-bit mod chip with a new machine i presume would have to do this...lol it comes Tuesday...

Gives you some good info on what you need to solder and what BIOS to use with the V1.5.
