There are no Drivers for the USB. Windows doesnt need any

open device manager in windows and remove any unecesary usb devices, then plug the xbit in and retry!

make sure you dont have  a nVIDIA chip set because if so then you are pretty much fucked i have had the same problems with windows 98 se and win 2k same shit!

I must of had a faulty one for some reason? The install went with no problems at all, I've got a brand new 1.3 xbox. I simply put the x-bit about where it was suppose to go, moved it around a bit until I felt the pins drop into the holes, screwed it in and it worked. Excellent!  biggrin.gif

Apart from the faulty one I had first, I'd recommend it to anyone! One of my mates did not find it as easy, he had to scrape the coating from the motherboard and use some lighter fluid to clean the contacts before it worked for him!  Ease of install might be dependant on the version or manufacturing of the xbox? uhh.gif
