Not sure if it mattesr what what possitison are switches in.

Also, i read yaesr ago when released not to insert incorrectly or you coudl blwo something but youwoudl had smelled something burning.

Check over the CHip for  aburnt trace or burnt compenenet but i doubt you caused damage.

Thanks. I was just wondering if I messud up the chip when I plugged it in wrong. I didn't smell anything, no visible damage. I think I fried it. I just ordered a new chip anyway. Thanks for the reply.
