Note that when you do a Chameleon install into a V1.6 box, you need to solder around 5 wires around the board. It is important that these wires are as short as possible to avoid a "chase" situation wrt timing.

This is possibly the reason why all Chameleons are either soldered directly to the LPC (in pre-V1.6 boxes) or connected via pin-header.

Coudl be timing( wire length, wires crossing )  issue, or if you have the PE wired as well causing that issue.
