Flasing Bios Again
« on: January 30, 2005, 12:24:00 PM »

I haven't bothered with this chip in a while, but I need to flash to a newer bios..
I've had an 80 gig, working fine..  but I want to put in a 160 gig, therefore I need a newer bios so that I will get all 160 gigs... I have the bios, but can't remember how to flash the chip again.  I'd like to do it from a cd-rw.  any help?  thanks

You can flash it for the new hard drive using EvoX, and the newer BIOs.

Place the new BIOS that supports the larger hard drive (search the usual places..look for evox.m8plus.fc.137) into C:\Bios (on your XBox)

Now using EvoX, scroll down to Settings then Flash BIOS, and select the BIOs from the list (it'll list any other BIOS's in that folder)

Restart your XBox, and prep the hard drive your usual way.
