will the x2 4977 bios work fine on the matrix chip soldered to a 1.4mobo? or do i have to use a different bios?

Could someone please confirm for me if the x2 4977 bios will not work on 1.5 mobo. i just found out i have a 1.5 not 1.4... anyway coz if the 4977 bios doesnt work on 1.5 mobos then im in luck because i installed the matrix chip.. i soldered d0 on and aligned the pogo pins to the lpc holes.. and it flashed green... but when i changed the mode to always on and booted the xbox up it FRAG'ED. please help me.

4977 will not work on 1.4+
