Matrix Solderless Adapter

This is true. There is no Matrix solder-less adapter. The Matrix chips was designed by the Xodus group and produced by EB2K. It was the first chip that was solder-less and achieved this by pogo-pins. However the designed was flawed mainly due to the D0 pin was too big and any movement on the Xbox was move the chip and it would start to work. This meant that the xbox had to be realigned again if that happened. Also it only worked on Xbox versions 1.0 and 1.1

The 1.2 did not work because MS changed the D0 location on the Xbox.

The solder-less adapter was first introduced by the Xodus group for the Chameleon. Then EB2K took their idea modified it a bit and introduced the new X-chip adapter.

The solder-less solution only works for models 1.0 to 1.4 for Chamelons and 1.0 to 1.5 for X-chip.

There is no solder-less solution for Xbox 1.6 because the LPC board must be rebuilt (which requires soldering)

Hope this helps.

BTW Xbox-scene rocks.

I have been viewing these forums for a long time but never joined before. Since I do have some experience with the Xbox I'll help out when I can.
