Have you tried it without the rivets?  And yes you could always blob a bit of solder in the LPC holes

I've tried without the rivets and it doesnt work...its not recognizing the chip and the led on the chip never comes on.  I think i will just try to solder the LPC holes i guess and see how that goes.  My only other option right now would be to order another Solderless adaptor and i dont feel like waiting for that to get here.

I just filled the LPC holes in with solder and everything is working fine so I have no more need for the rivets.
