Two other things you can try if you can not find your original mother board. If you have a cromwell bios that will try to unlock your xbox hdd then try that or see if you can find a cromwell bios othere there some where. With this you will want to power your hard drive with your comoputer so it will stay on. If you only have one bank on your mod chip you will have to reflash it and load the new bios. The cromwell will unlock the hdd but as long as the drive has poiwer it will remain unlocked till it losses power. I am not 100% sure it will relock with power is loss but just incase we will leave power on. After getting evox up run config magic. Have the config magic lock the drive.
Secound methoid. Might not work 100% but hey it is better than haveing noghing. Take a mother board that does low leve formatting and see if it will low level format the drive. Please take note that a low level format could damage the drive and after the low level has be finished the drive will still need to be fromated. You can use slayer auto config for that though. Well running out of time but if all ease fails.
Get a new hdd. You might even get a good one from ebay that is ether unlocked or they will provide the bios you can use config magic to unlock it with.
