No Evox Menu Or Ms Dash ?
« on: July 07, 2004, 04:41:00 PM »

Problem still not solved... However....

Im not really sure but i think it has something to with the iternal clock.
And possible th HD...
Normaly the original MS Dashboard would turn up if i remove the chip (matrix).
But this...is sooo not happening.

Now if i have the matrix chip installed & working it would noramlly go directly into the EvoX menu, but this to i wont do.

So...i guess it have something to do with the Dashboard.....
Sh*t !....im totally clueless....

I can start games & play.... i tested Star Wars KOTOR today & i enabled the Auto save in the game... then when i entered the room where im suppose to meet Carth the game locks up. (This is where the auto save kicks in i guess.)
(I think the matrix is working properly or the game would not start up.)

Now if it locks up i guess it cant find any folder to place the save in.
So now im back to the problem with the HD...& possible the dashboard.

Is there anyway to link up my PC to the xbox if im using a Bootdisc to enter the EvoX menu & change the IP adress? (...so i can link up)

If i can i might be able to see what wrong on my xbox HD.
(And possible solve the problem)

If anyone have a clu what to do please help me ok?

Did you try making a bootdisk to boot into an Evox so you can FTP, or an auto-installer that installs Evox and the MS Dash again?

Yes, it is possible to access the Xbox's HD via FTP using an auto-installer or bootdisk, and try installing Evox like that.

The other problem you mentioned, the games freezing when auto-saving, occurs because the clock is wrong.

Ok you can get a evox.iso file and run evox from a dvd and then reflash the bios with a known good bios that will boot evoxdash.xbe and make darn sure it has that file in c:\ and then everything should start to work ok.
