Ok, I have had 3 generations of modchips on my current xbox, the original 29 wire one (yeah, remember those days?), the 9 wire one, and the final one that i had is the matrix no solder one.
I just got the new Halo special edition Xbox (the transparent one) with a manufacture date of 02-04-2004. I am assuming if I want to mod this one, my matrix will probably not work right? (I don't now what version of the MB it is)... The pad is empty of solder, no fans on the GPU.... If the matrix doesn't work, what should I get, should I wait for Xecuter3?
SO I thought, ok no big deal, i will replace the mobo from my other xbox, and powersupply as the powersupply connector is different. As I unscrewed the screw holding the chip down, I realized that the one of the soldered (factory filled) D2 point is completely empty?
Needless to say, the chip no longer gives me a green light, always flashing red... can I just add more solder without any problems? any other issues?
