Read in "Important Title Pinned: Chameleon Settings For Evox.ini (Pages 1 2 3 ...5 )". There are details. I believe your frined's problem was in Evox.ini needed to add something like:
Flash = 0x015b,"AMD - Am29LV800B",0x100000
Flash = 0x01da,"AMD - Am29LV800B",0x100000

usually if you get unknown flash type after you added lines to the ini its more than likely a bad chip I have official blue led chams in stock for 55 dollars shipped with working bioses let me know what you think
