I have no advise that cannot already be found in the forum about the
3 reboot and FRAG problem.
Last time I tried repairing an Xbox like this I tried:
Resoldering LPC.
Looking for solder splashes.
Matrix Chip. X2 Pro and a PC-Bioxx chip.
Booting the first 256k of the original bios mod
M7 Bios
4977 Bios
Embedded Eeeprom in Bios
I wonder if a 29 wirejob would bypass an LPC bus problem?
Ever notice how close the LPC points 2,6, 8,10 and 12 are to a traces on the left
hand side of the LPC bus?
http://www.xbox-scen...es/lpc-diag.phpIf after repeated alignment of the Matrix Chip what would happen if one of
those pins shorted accross the worn down resin that protects one of those traces?
Eventually I purchased a new motherboard for 70 bucks from the llama.
This is how I have managed to "permanently" install Matrix Chips with no further problems.
Site maybe slow so please be patient.
