fixed it. For some reason the chip wouldnt turn on untill I booted up the slayers cd. The chip was already flashed. Weird.

i might be having the same trouble you had...
i know ive done everything right.. but the darn thing.. doesnt want to
show me the cromwell bios screen..

the D0 point is right and i know the chip has to be in right...

Any ideaS? what light are you talking about

are you using the standard av xbox cable? if you use any form of advanced av cable other than what came with the xbox you won't see the linux screen.

im not using any ODD cables... either... the xbox is a 1.1 version.. so..
what do you mean guess? what tutorial.. i mean there are dozens
ive read pleanty of them...

Ok so ... K9 was right.. heres the scoup...
i got my chip from easybuy2000 supposed to be the cham2 but its looks like
a cham 1 i dont care because i wanted the cham 1 in the first place

anyways... i installed my chip and it wouldnt show the cromwell bios
like it used to in the cham 1 chips. Now then i didnt even see the blue light
that i was supposed to see. So dont go thinking like me and be pissed off cause you got a bad chip.. you didnt! Just throw in a slayer cd and run it
worked for me... and K9
