Removing Chameleon Mod Chip

if you remove the chip and everything, it will go back to normal.
However, if you are doing this for the purpose of going on live, there are much much much easier ways...

Well, there's lots of tuts for this stuff, but in general you need to:

1. set up your dash on the F: drive, and use an f-booting bios (use xbtool). copy the backup you made of your original C: drive (without the extra stuff) back to the C:.

2. Read the chameleon user manual on how to install the e/p (eject/power) points. Note: it has been brought to my attention that you don't need to  solder the points, you can simply splice into the e/p wires.

3. make sure you either have the hard drive lock/unlock enabled on your evox, or are running an app that will do this for you. You cannot boot a M$ bios with an unlocked hard drive.

If you have all of this set up, you now have the ability to get on live. To run a modded box, you boot to your default (hacked) bios on the F drive. Then, to get on live, you lock the drive, and use the proper combination of buttons to disable the cham. Now, when it boots up, it will boot the original bios (to the C drive). If you don't lock the drive first, it won't boot. you will get err 13? I think.

This is a general outline. Everything you need to know how to do this stuff specifically is in the tuts or other places.

Peace out.
