Can't Get Chameleon To Enter Stealth Mode

Okay update.  I re-checked the connections and made some progress.  When I boot by holding power for 3 sec it boots to bank 0 and loads the x2 bios.  However, when I press eject after it has booted the eject light just flashes and the tray doesn't open.  

When I boot by holding eject for 3 sec it gives me a "your xbox needs service" message instead of loading the TSOP.  When I boot by holding both for 3 secs I get the same error message instead of loading bank 1 (which should still be the cromwell the chameleon shipped with).

I pulled my splices out and put the chameleon back in mode 1 and can boot x2 just fine.
