on my previous mod; a V. 1.3 box, I used same discs, (Slayer 2.5, Evox M7 renamed to the linuxbios.bin) and managed to get that one working fine.
Now I have a V 1.0 box, installed the chameleon (Cromwell 2.27) and did the initial flash and the box rebooted like the previous mod. upon restart the box will not read the slayers disc (DVD-R, burnt 1 speed XISO). This box has been factory serviced twice and has a Samsung dvd and a newer (2002) WD HD. I've tried swapping in my V1.3 Samsung drive, but the M$ dash still gives me the crappy nag message. (restarted this thing brobably 50 times to be sure)
The chip is an EB2K one w/ red LED, delivered last week, but NOT from EB2k (go figure). All switches do not seem to have ANY effect no matter what bank or mode that i put it in. It was flashed in bank 0 (all switches off).
Sometimes on reboot the LED flashes, sometimes it stays solid depending on which mode i've switched it on to.
Is there something different or incompatable with V1.0 / Chameleon/ Evox M7??
Any suggestions how to get beyond this would be great.
