Matrix Modchip Black Screen At Boot

recently tried to flash a friend's tsop with a matrix which I pulled from a machine. when I was done I put the chip back in ( the whole process took quite some time) when I plugged the chip back in and hooked up the box, it starts, no FRAG or anything but the screen is black and I get no audio or anything of the sort.

Here is the dilema, lack of msdashboard to try and set the date/time
I beleive the date/time to be the issue since it was unplugged for an extended period of time

this box has a 120 gig drive in it and the retail drive went bye bye a long time ago. So booting without the chip is a no go. Anyone have any fixes for this? Please post!

BTW, I do have access to another XboX with the original msdash still intact, is it possible to use its hard drive to fix this?
