did you ever:
1) change the name of your xboxdash.xbe (or rename evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe)
or
2) solder in the a15 point (then flash your chameleon chip using the Evolution-X Dashboard)

1) the evo dash is called xboxdash.xbe, and the MS dash is called msxboxdash.xbe... i was told to do this in a tutorial... is this why the MS dash is not loading?

2) i never heard anything about this

ok... well the tutorial did not say to make a backup of the original, it just said to keep it and rename the file to msxboxdash.xbe... so i renamed xboxdash to evoxdash.xbe, and changed MS back to xboxdash.xbe. it booted evoX, and when i go to boot the ms screen, it starts to boot, i even see MS at the bottom for a second, then i get error 21. if i cant use this dash file i have, can i use someone elses?

Put back your modchip
boot with slayer disk
select Restaure Retail Xbox HD to Factory.

it will rebuilt you hd as it was before you put the modchip

once done, remove the modchip it should work

awesome... thanks... will it completely restore the hard drive... as in remove everything else i installed? i.e. should i backup my evoxdash and *.ini?

yes backup before cos it will come back to factory, exactly like MS made it

and as for slayer, be sure to get it from the real slayer sources.. look like there is bad version of it on irc
