You are not being screwed around.

If you're worried about the difference between the two chips just ask him personally. I'm sure in the interests of customer relations, he'd be happy to test one before it leaves.

I've used both and not had a problem with either.

I asked modchipman 2 week ago about this, and they were selling Chameleon 1.8 (eb2k clone chips)

those chips which are bought from eb2k or from suppliers who buy from eb2k ARE chameleons and are based completely on the chameleon line of modchips. the only differance is the led light on ones that eb2k is installing on them-red. they are not clones considering eb2k manufactured the "real" chameleons with the blue led.

There isnt much difference just a red light!
although i do feel that its real fucked up with happen with the whole easybuy issue!

you just need to turn them off  biggrin.gif  they are all on by default

I installed one today (Chameleon v1.5 not 1.8) and worked.. all 4 bank was flashed with cromwell 2.27

i got it from divineo

it's Chameleon 1.5
yes 2 dipswitch (2x2 or 1212 if you want to call that way)
red led.
all 4 bank flashed with Cromwell 2.27
worked on the first try, no problem at all.

Eb2k are selling Chameleon 1.8 now.. don't know whats the difference

Well, i emailed modchipman and asked him about it and he says the ones he has are the original xodus chips. So i guess all is well.
