Bet You Cant Help Fix My Chamelion Chip Problem!
« on: January 07, 2004, 10:11:00 PM »

have u tried using a matrix programmer?

I had a wierd problem where evoX recognized my chip as the wrong type, and it fails to flash. I just erased the line in evox.ini where the wrong rom is located and after that evoX recognized the right rom. Maybe this might help?

Good luck on getting an RMA for your chip to get the exchange.  Easybuy doesn't return e-mails or answer their phone.  I am going on 3+ weeks after recieving a bad chip and a broken solderless adapter and still no reply after send 4 different RMA requests to Easybuy.

Well, one way is by paying for advertising on, and/or sponsoring, well respected sites (like Xbox Scene).  This way, people see the ad and think "Ooh, if they're advertising on (or sponsoring) this site, they must a good, respectable company.  I guess I should just buy from them..."   Despite all their bad reviews, and terrible feedback (have a look through these forums, not to mention reseller ratings elsewhere on the Internet), it seems there will always be room for an EasyBuy2000 banner ad, as long as they are willing to 'sponsor' a site.  sad.gif

@Vric...amen brother...what you said is so true...

To all of you that are having problems with getting your money back or cancelled order that you just got billed.  Call you credit card company, they will take over and you will get your money back.  The credit card company will then deal with easybuy...that is your protection when buying with a cc card.

@ Easybuy:  I don't need an RMA from you no longer...After waiting 3 weeks and 4 RMA requests I just recieved my money back from my cc card.  Thank god for the credit card protection!!!  Oh also E2k...rott in hell...

here is an option, have you tried hotswapping you good chameleon with the bad one and flashing with evox? i am not sure exactly when you would pullout the working chip and put it the non working one but i would guess it is when it detects the flash and says hit y to flash chip.
