Chameleon Led Not Working
« on: January 07, 2004, 08:16:00 AM »

I had the same problem.  The chip works fine the LED just does not light.

If you want install a BIOS with a colored Xbox logo and then you will know when you are booting with the chip vs. stock BIOS

BTW, how do you make the X2 4980 BIOS coloured? Do you patch it or something?

Thanks,

This is not a big deal, but it would be nice to have a visual indicator.

with X2 bios, you see Executer2 insted of MS below the X logo.. better than nothing

as for the led, it's controled by evox.

CODE
ChameleonLed   = 15
in the evox.ini file.  I'm also using the X2 4980.06 BIOS.

Would it be possible to get a copy of the original Cromwell 2.27 BIOS (eb2k modded version) that the Chameleon came pre-flashed with? The only time I ever saw the LED flash was with this BIOS.  I have tried the 2.27b BIOS from xbox-linux.sf.net, but still no LED. That way, I can at least check if the LED is still working electronically.

Thanks

I had similar issues.

The *only* BIOS i have seen (including the recent compile of the 2.27 Crom) which enables the LED is the original 1.8 Cromwell that came on the chip.

With 3935 Evolution-X Dash, my Chameleon 1.3 (from Eb2K) Flashed just fine. (once you boot into dash.)
