Matrix Stoped Working

Same problem. My chip flashed for a while, but stopped working even though I have ChameleonFlash = 20 line in my evox.ini file. I can't figure it out either. Any suggestions?

is the spacer suppose to be conductive? i am using a washer covered in electrical tape.

The spacer should be conductive and should not be covered with anything. You can use a smaller piece of tape to secure the loctation but the modchip should be in contact with the xbox MB thru the spacer, it acts as a ground for the modchip. I had the same problem at first with frying modchip but I realized that the spacer actually shorted the trace on the modchip to gnd and it was burned, but I got it working after patch wiring to repair the burned trace.

Can anyone tell me what the newest bios is for the matrix?  I have a 1.0 Box, and I had some trouble with slayers autoinstaller and flashing.  I think I need to reflash, and I can not remember the jumper positions either.  Any help would be appreciated.

ok so i put a little jumper in there to have it ground. i know its grounding cause i checked continewity between grounds and its grounded.

so with the dip switches on (test mode) no light...it if i turn off switch 2, mode 3, the green light lights up, but loads like normal.

could the bios be erased?

no the bios isn't erased as the xbox would frag. the d0 is not being grounded correctly.

it is the single pin on it's own on the matrix chip. it must be alligned correctly

i think you have to switch both to off.. (orange led blinking)...

xecutor bios should work fine, as long it is a 256 kb Bios

just flashed a matrix 2 weeks ago with an xecutor 2 bios from slayer 2.5

works like a charm wink.gif
