What BIOS did you flash?  It should say Xecuter if you flashed an X2 BIOS.  If you flashed an EvoX BIOS, then it will still say MS.

I just installed my new EB2k Cham chip last night and I was getting the exact same problem. In fact I actually found this thread because a friend who was trying to help me showed it to me. I eventually got it working just by taking the adapter off the mobo and re-attaching it and putting the gold wire back in the d0. The second time I did it my Xbox started to frag, and the third time I remounted the adapter it worked fine and has been working perfectly ever since.

I'm guessing that I had some problems getting the pogo pins in the right alignment or maybe there was some crap in the d0 that had to be cleared. Regardless, if you haven't tried remounting the adapter then you might want to.

Okay, this is what you do:

1. connect D0 to ground without chameleon. If it frags (xbox turns on&off then flashes diff. color), your D0 has good connection.
2. use a voltmeter to determine if all your LPC points have teh correct voltage.  Compare it to the LPC diagnostics tutorial.  Make sure they're good, before AND after you put in the pin header. Yes, the pin header is the best way to go. :-)
3. If 1 & 2 are okay, connect your mod and the D0 wire.  If it frags, then you either have no bios in that particular bank or its bad.  Switch around the banks to see if they work. also, make sure u're in mode 1.  OR it could mean that your xbox is v1.5.  The LPC tutorial can help you differenciate between v 1.4 and 1.5.
4. If you have a v1.5, solder in 3.3 volt and ground?  I'm not too sure about this because I've never had to mod v1.5 before.

i have the same problem with the normal M$ dash booting but only in mode 0, however if i switch modes on the chip it will frag. so i know my d0 is good.  i have been doing some searching and reading for a while and i think the problem is the bios. i currently borrowed a executer programmer and have been trying to find a way to mod it or just get it to work with my chameleon.  If i reprogram it and it works i will let everyone know.

I know you can reflash with the MAtrix programmer.  Isit possible to do with any other kind?

i 2 am haveing the same problems the chip is in  i get one flash on the red light then the reg ms dash

well ive tried to ground the d0 wire and the xbox frags if i frag it with the chip in it the red light stays on but no cromwell  what could be the prob? do u think its because they didnt send me ne rivets?
