That is very possible. Also, if you have a newer box (i.e. 1.4) you MUST flash with either M7 or 4979. Nothing else at this time will work.
Turn DIP 4 on the Chameleon to ON. Then reboot. Flash with a newer BIOS. Wait for unit to power down, turn DIP 4 back to off, and reboot.
All should be well.
