Flashing Chameleon With Evox

First, it is likely fragging cause you are using an older BIOS.  YOU CANNOT FLASH VIA EVOX UNTIL YOU HAVE A WORKING BIOS TO BOOT FROM!!!!

The cart is before the horse.

Turn dip 4 on your Chameleon to ON.  If you get a blinking blue light, all is good.  If not, your connections are not good enough.

Then flash using a CDRW with M7 or X2 4979.  Once that is successful, then we can talk Evox dashboard settings.

well i cannot turn xbox with chameleon on.  it just resets 3 times and frags.  i cannt update the bios because i have no video, and not even the dvd drive comes out.  if i have the older bios, should it eject the dvd drive?  or should it just frag.  i think my connections are pretty good. well they look pretty good...
idk

If you turn on without the chip on. Like take the chip off the pin header and disconnect the D0 wire or whatever else you have connected.

Bringing it back to stock .. does it boot to M$ Dash?

You sure it is a V1.5?  Seems pretty old to be a 1.5.

when you are doing the auf hack is the chameleon hooked up? if the xbox does not boot from the lpc then the xbox can not flash the chip on the lpc. using the auf hack would only really allow you to flash the onboard tsop. check your lpc connections and i believe you may need to add an additional wire to one of the lpc pins for 3.3v. i think it is pin5 but there is another post in this section that has pictures of where to hook it up at.

How does your box respond when u install the chameleon the normal way with only the adaptor and do wire.  I believe that you may have a 1.4 and you're gonna have to use a friends box or a programmer to flash it.  Plus, if its a 1.4, you don't need to solder any extra wires.  And is your box a holiday bundle?
