Chameleon Chip Reads As Matrix

With all dips off...and you do a scan...does 4 banks show up?  Or one.  If four shows up, it is seeing it as a Chameleon.  If you only see just one big box, it is seeing it as a Matrix...which to my knowlege is impossible.

To quote one of my kids TV shows, Nothing is impossible for a possible.  The chip is only showing 1 bank, and actually shows at the top of the screen as being a Matrix.  I ordered 3 chips at once, the other 2 worked fine. I am just finishing the 2nd now.  Still no further luck with this one responding as a Chameleon.  Is it possible that only one of the banks is good and so XP is assuming that the chip is a Matrix?  I went to the Xodus website and just saw the note about the severance of ties with Easybuy2000 so I'm not sure how helpful easybuy will be in trying to correct the problem. Any suggestions?

Since you have several XBoxes, the easiest thing to do, is to pull out a chip where you did a successful mod and put this one in and see what happens.  At this point it IS sounding like a bad chip.  But every bad chip I have ran into shows up with 4 banks, even though they were not flashable.
