yes you can flash other banks besides 0. yes you can boot from another bank and flash the other banks (with an edited evox.ini file). the latest evox has a setting to control the led (the bios doesn't control it). go with x2_4977 or x2_4979.67 bios's. the install is the same as 1.0,1.1,1.2 except 1.0 and 1.1 have solder filled lpc points.

I ordered mine last friday and got a tracking number yesterday, so I can only assume that yes, my order is on the way!  modchip.ca is a bit more expensive than some of the other sites, but if you live in canada you save that $ on the low shipping charges.  I did not get that 'backordered' message when adding to my cart so it looks like unfortunately you may have to wait sad.gif - dec 19 is only 3 days away though!

I woudn't buy from EasyBuy2000 especially after the official news release of Team Xodus disconnecting themselves from there.

I have read conflicting information on whether it is necessary to remove the solder from the LPC points for an install on v1.0 -1.1 when using the solderless adapter that comes with the LE - can someone give a definitive answer?

Thanks for the info pontfirebird73 -  can you only flash other banks with evoX? I was interested in knowing if you could do it from CD -

I'm having an issue with a cham le s p/e on a v1.0 box,
was hoping someone could help.

I installed the chip without a hitch, powered up and installed
the evox m7 dash.  Now I thought I would test the different
bank/disable option. I've held the eject button down three
seconds, held the power button down three seconds, held
them both down for three seconds.....

All I get is the same evox bios screen w/ xbox in red.

Should I see the Chromwell bios in the other banks?

Should I see the original green xbox when the chameleon
is shut off?

Is there a way to check the p/e points?

@petegas  there are dipswitch settings to boot from diferant banks (once a differant bank boots you can flash that bank with a cd) just read manual on xodus-chips.com.

@baracuda1  that only works if you are in mode4 dip1&2 on 4&5 off

you have to flash the bios before you can use slayer's install disc - the linux bios shipped with the chip will not boot your custom apps - its only purpose (unless you want to run linux) is to allow you to flash the bios.  Follow the detailed instructions on Xodus site (or here on xbox-scene) about how to burn a cdrw with a scene bios to flash

Thanks Petegas.  That did not occur to me since the site said pre-programmed.  I will have to look for executor 2 bios code then I suppose.  It is always fun (NOTjavascript:emoticon(':angry:')
