Where To Buy A Chameleon?
« Reply #15 on: December 16, 2003, 04:08:00 PM »

Jon ,
You mentioned that these are Real chips which I know and trust you when you say that.  I also ordered a chip from EB2k This morning.  They state that the new ones have a red led instead of the blue one. Are the red ones fake? Am I buying fake ones or do you think they had them repaired and altered the led?

The chips with RED LEDs are chips that are not approved by Xodus.  Period.

So now JonDante says that if it does not have a blue led then it's fake.

That is false............

I would like to advise all members that these same chips that so called JonDante has in stock are the exact chips that we manufactured before. It was the last batch we sent to them.

So if we are making fake chips then all Chameleons are fake.

Just like to point out that the last batch we sent them were the blue pcb pre-flashed with Cromwell 1.8 .......this is a fact.
(It is laser written to the chip itself stating "Chameleon 1.8")

Every chip they have is tested because they had to re-program every chip by hand using a Matrix programmer.......this is fact.

So again how can we produce fake chips if we were the only manufacture to produce them in the first place.

Manufacture simply went with a red led to show that this chip has Cromwell 2.27 not the older 1.8 and also every chip has a white sticker on it as well.

The color of the led make no difference to the function of the chip.....this is fact

If you order from us and chose overnight then you will get it before Xmas if you chose priority then I can't guarantee that you will get it before Xmas.

The reason is overnight is much more expensive to ship it is shipped either by FedEx or UPS and it also has a signed delivery.

Normal priority is shipped via Canada post and is just a confirmed delivery.

Which means if you have a mean post man in your area he can simply drop it off in front of your door and nobody would know.

Best to advise your postman that if nobody answers the door for him/her to leave a note so you can pick up at post office.

Also the delivery time is much more 3 to 5 business days sometimes more if gets delayed in customs compared to 1 for overnight.

Easybuy...before you put words in mouth, go back and read.  I said the RED led chips are NOT Xodus approved.  That is all I have stated.  No one said you sold FAKE chips.  I merely stated the TRUTH...they are NOT Xodus approved.

Stop the damn drama.  Your slyness is only outdone by your underhandedness in this matter.

However, I am glad to see your going to stop making Chameleons.  That is a good move.  BUT... if you really intend on making a chip competitive with Xodus in the future, I find it to be in poor taste to announce it in this forum.  That would be like Team Xecuter making an announcement here.

I am sure the moderators would love for you to have your own forum, so that you personally can help troubleshoot with your many supporters.

Hi all

I have some Chameleons available to UK people (otherwise it'll never reach you with christmas traffic). also if you wish I'll happily add the P and E wires and send them out with scotchlock wire connectors (ala Chameleon LE.)

Cheers
