Err, new question -- I have solder in my spots where I'm supposed to put the solderless adapter... do I take the solder out?

I figure the solderless adapter was meant for filled in LPCs. I mean, doesn't it come with optional extra rivets for boards that do not have the solder in?

In any case, should you have to solder, you might as well put the pin header in. That's what I'd do anyway. Provided you have a solder pump.

EDIT -- I looked at the pictures, and it seems that where I want the chip to rest is filled with pins... can I just pull them out safely, its the set of 6x2 pins that seem to be removable, then I can set the chip on the adapter?

smile.gif Though, now the D0 point is giving me lip... I had it, then I tightened the screw, and now it won't stay down, it keeps popping back up... I really don't want to mess it up, any tips?

Yeah, I can do that, and it does go fairly far in, but as soon as it gets in and I let go, it invariably pops out... should I... bend the metal to make it fit? :-/

If it wasn't a problem before I tightened it, maybe I'll try loosening a little...

Okay, I had it in, then when I moved it, it came out, but... what's supposed to happen when it turns on? The system, that is?

Okay, I got the chip installed, and the system goes on and off and on and off, then the LED around the eject button blinks red and green... but nothing appears on the screen. What am I doing wrong? The cords are all plugged in correctly and stuff, any ideas?

Did I need to change any settings on the Chameleon itself prior to powering up, like the cells or whatever? I just left it default, all up, I think. Also, I can't use the eject button, it just clicks or something.

Last edit, I promise... when I turned on the power, I didn't see anything flashing on the chip. No LED, if I should have.
