im having the same damn problem right now. 3x boot with no video or sound, i couldnt eject my cd out before but i pushed it a couple times and it came out. other than that. im totally stuck. please help if u know

This is wierd as hell, my matrix just went dead too. It lasted for 1 year to the day.

guys,

I have come to the conclusion that matrix chips SUCK. I've had my matrix chip for almost a year and every 2-3 months the chip wants to go and turn itself off. I have been using the drop your xbox routine for months now and it works but is still very agrevating. I have found that one of the pins on the chip gets stuck up inside the chip causing the connection to be broken. I have crimped the pin down in place and secured the chip down with extra washers and still the same thing happens every two months. I have painfully come to the conlusion that it might be time to try another chip and go the sautering route. Just a thought, best of luck to you

wow, i fixed mine...

I had switches on my box so i put it into flash mode. I tired to flash it to a xecuter and it said sumthing about filesize error. So i got a newer version of xecuter flashed it and it worked.

::Also for sum reason my box booted in the flash mode and not the others::
