Matrix Allignment Or Bios Problem

first off i have a matrix and know how frustrating the installation can be, but just keep trying, second unless its a color bios or otherwise modded then you will always get a normal start up screen, also if you were in mode 2 and it booted then it was properly aligned

Yes.  The white logo means that it was aligned correctly.  That's one of the nice things about using a colored BIOS - it is a good visual indicator of the Matrix working correctly.

Did you scrape the Do point?  I was having the same problem and after I scraped the point I was able to install in seconds.  Hope this helps   biggrin.gif

how much do you have to scrape the D0 point? I'm afraid to cut some of the print circuits. I've spent like 5 or 6 hours and my chip still isn't working (ver. 1.1 xbox)

jesus 5 hours i got my matrix flashed it with x2 4977 and was playing in like 30 minutes at that was my first time. which bios are you using? one important thing was did you get the spacer you are suppose to get with your matrrix? it should be a little round spacer with a hole in it to give a little clearance so it doeant touch the board. did you get that? cause i didnt and i couldnt get it to level out and allign so i am using a bundle of black tape punched a hole in it, and vwala it worked you need sopmething to give a little space that could be a problem, also while you. see if that helps and see you must be dealligning it everytime you turn in off test mode i did that once to, what i did was as i was gently scewring the chip downwards i kind of nudged it a little in all directions and when it stayed on green i screwed it in a litle more and i never had to fix it again i even brang it to my buddies house no prob i have it for like 7 months now, the only thing is i have. i hope this helps.

I'm using Xecuter ver 4979 bios
I am using the supplied spacer, without the tape though, but it stays in place.
I'm very close to using the chip as a keyring, and have someone else solder another chip in for me.
