I made sure that all IGR's were off but it still didn't work. I tried the hard drive in another xbox with a different matrix chip and everything boot up flawlessly. Can the chip or mobo be going bad? Thank you guys for the help so far.

The games that will not boot...are they on the HD...or reading from DVD?  It is not the chip, probably is not the mobo, could be the HD if that is where the games are trying to boot from.  COULD be the IDE cable.  And it COULD be the BIOS if you only had this problem AFTER the new BIOS was installed.

BTW, why are you not using X2 4977 if you have a 1.0 box.  That is still the BEST BIOS for 1.0-1.3 boxes in my opinion.

I flashed the BIOS to the X2 4977 FC +137GB and it still didn't work. I am trying to play them off the HD which works in a different modded XBox. I'm going to see if i can find a new IDE cable and see what that does.

Everything worked fine except for 2 games. I was using the Evox D6 BIOS orignally and someone told me that the BIOS might need to be updated before those games could boot. I updated the BIOS and all the games work except those 2 games. The game DVD won't even work for the 2 games. Thanks for your help so far JD.

The game DVD will not even work?  That means the disc is probably damaged, and the initial copy didn't even work right.  Mind telling us what those two games are?  That might help.  Dunno why, but at least I could verify if I have the games.

I just tried reflashing the BIOS with another version of 4977 and it worked. I guess the BIOSes that i flashed were corrupt in some way. Thank you for all your help.
