Install is the same on a 1.4 or 1.5 (I have not seen REAL verification that the install is different) boxes as it is on all others. If you did get your chip from EB2K though, your gonna need a programmer to flash the BIOS.

Eastbuy2000 "or any1 else that wants to reply" When you say that you can't update through the dvd drive, did you mean you can not update the original bios through the dvd drive or even after you have updated them with the programmer that you will never be able to update with the dvd drive and you will always have to use the dvd drive.

You can update the bios on the modchip if you have a v 1.3 XBOX or earlier. Version 1.4-1.5 XBOX's need to be programmed by using the external programmer.

My Chameleons work in 1.4 and 1.5 boxes without the use of programmer.

Yeah, Jon's work. I think it's the chameleon 1.3's that need to be flashed with the external programmer because they have chromwell 1.8 on them which doesn't support XBOX versions 1.4-1.5 I believe? Is this right Jon?

DO NOT BUY FROM EASYBUY2000!!! This place sucks so bad. They charge your credit card right away and claim they will ship the product within 48 hours. I waited over 2 weeks and finally cancelled my order. I kept calling and they would lie about getting the chips that day or the next, or that they were at customs... they will say anything to get you off the phone. Cancel your order and buy from modchipman.com - he may charge a tad bit more, but he will ship your chip within 24 hours.

I have been told that all winners have been shipped last week.

As I had posted before we are still shipping the Chamelons with 1.8 Cromwell in them because the manufacture had not time to re program the chips one by one.

We are working on updated Cromwell code and will post a update as to when we start shipping with the new Cromwell flashed.

As of currently if you have a Xbox 1.4 or 1.5 in other words if you have a Xbox with a FOCUS chip then you WILL NEED the external programmer (Matrix programmer).

If you have a Xbox 1.3 or older then you do NOT need the external programmer.

EB2K, I've ordered a Chameleon from you and was told it is ship out on last Friday or today. I just brought a XBox 1.5 and I don't have a Matrix programmer (hard to find one now), please don't tell me the chip is not going to work on mind...

Good god, I started to order chips this morning, and then I saw this! When will the chips with the new cromwells start being sold? I don't want to waste money on a chip if it's going to be difficult to get a programer.

Anyone have a recomendation on where to get chips with the new bios?
