It sounds like your MD5 definition in your Evox.ini does not list the 4979...you have to manually add it. Everything will work normally without it, so don't worry.

Hrm..actually, it seems to have a problem with the flash memory. Mabye the FLASH entires?

I am sorry I misread your post. You are trying to flash and it is not working.

Hmmm. Is the file on your HD in the BIOS folder on drive C:

BINGO! Ok, I had to copy the new flash entries out of the Evox.ini.

They should really design a 'system.ini' that then gets overridden by the user's ini. I don't like to overwrite mine, but I missed somethigns I needed to copy.

I have the same problem, at first it said "unknown flash type", then I edited the evox.ini by adding the hash values(ROM="blah",hexnumber) and then when I tried to flash, it said "bios not writable". any suggestions?

I updated to the newest dash(3935), now it just is at "erasing" forever, anyone know how to fix this?
