used font hack before. now get clock loop after one month not using my xbox. searched dashboard thread and find out it is possible to use mod-chip to recover from the endless loop. fortunately, I got matrix.. but never installed (thought the soft hack is enough.. now it is usefull ), however I couldn't get any further with this matrix, this is what I did
1. program the chip with Evox 2.6 bios (256K), verified it is good
2. install the chip to Xbox (V1.0), in mode 1, get flashing green, switch to mode 2, get solid green, but it reboots three times (with beep), so I follow the manual re-allign the chip, problem is fixed
3. now after reboot in mode 2, I get solid green LED, but the screen is all blank, not even a flash of X logo, (xodus manual suggest there should be a logo "matrix inside", but I didn't see it (I put Evox auto installer in CD too)
4. I tried eject button, but seems DVD-rom is locked!
is this because clock-loop cause this matrix failure? if so.. what is the suggested way to use matrix to recover clock loop?
I appreciate your help to save my poor xbox game...
