My xbox mod with chameleon has been working fine for months. Then all of a sudden I turn it on today and (I have the xectuer2 4978.03 bios installed.) and it boots to the inital "Xbox, Xecetuer2" screen and just sits there. Doesn't go to dash board or anything. I haven't moved it or anthing, any suggestions?

I had an xbox do this. The chipped seemed to be getting grounded. All I did was re-fix the chip into a lower position.

what do you mean a lower position? Physcially? Its soldered to the board.

i had a similler problem a few months ago it turned out to be a problem with the dvd drive, tri unplugging the dvd and see if it works

i do feel the HDD spin up...but it doesn't go to dashboard.

HDD is goin out.. or in this case is already out... check to make sure the power cord is connected snugly, if it's not the power cord then the drive can't read the info on the platters.

Try booting with an Evox CDRW. I will bet your HD is going.

I put my HDD in my computer and it was able to recognize the hdd as being there. If it is a corrupt file(*.ini) how would I fix it. My computer sees it but because it is a diffrent file system it can't see the data. What should I do?

Tell us if it boots ok. If it does, then your HD is going. Drop $40 and snag an 80gig drive...it'll be one of your best XBox moves ever.
