OK, I've been looking around this forum and others to figure out this xbox issue. The best I could come up with was:
"Your Xbox is fried you f**ked up your motherboard" and
"You can buy one off ebay, and for some reason you can sell your motherboard and get almost as much money"
I'm thinking this easily solved problem is not well known.
Therefore I would like this article pinned.
If your XBOX: 1) has sound 2) no video 3) flickers on the screen 3 times.
You've most likely done the following: 1) installed a mod chip and done something wrong 2) shorted out the lpc connections with a screw driver 3) bad battery on the motherboard
All of these symptoms and actions result in you blowing away ALL your xbox settings including some factory set ones.
A while back there was a program that enigma released called a video switcher, it switches the video from NTSC to PAL and vice versa, no documentation I have found explains this program or it's uses. Here's the #1 use for all us who think we've messed up the motherboard because of a mod chip!
Procedure:
1) Have your Xbox with your matrixcameleon chip installed (or any other mod chip that has this problem)
2) Connect it up to your TV with a stock RF cable. This is important as all your video related settings are pooched.
3) Burn yourself a copy of the videoswitch_v2.iso put out by enigma, get this from the usual sources.
4) Boot up your xbox and wait for the screen to flicker, *that flicker is the xbox rebooting*
5) After about 3 flickers, your xbox will be stable and loaded the enigma video switcher.
6) Press A for PAL or B for NTSC.
7) You will see nothing on screen because you now need to
reboot your xbox. Power the sucker off and back on.

WALA! SUCCESS!
Hopefully this helps everyone including the ones with little or no hope left in them.

XBOX-SCENE: Pin this and put it in the appropriate forums that will help more mod-chippers out there. I wish I could take the credit for this one, but props for my bro Bramael for this one (not a xbox-scene member and a newbie) he pointed me to the article on another forum after 4 hours of trying to figure it out. It's his xbox I fried
